Important — Payment Scope

nearChess does not collect or charge any fees for online tournaments. Registration fees are collected only for offline (in-person) chess tournaments, and nearChess acts solely as a payment facilitator on behalf of the tournament organiser.

01

nearChess issues a payment receipt for the platform facilitation / convenience fee plus applicable taxes.

02

The tournament organiser issues the official invoice / receipt / GST invoice for the entry fee portion directly to the player.

03

Pursuant to RBI guidelines, the organiser's verified name and KYC status are displayed on the tournament page and on every order-confirmation receipt, so players always know where their payment is going.
